He isn't talking about the engine, more the engine bay itself - so you avoid having a red/green/grey (or whatever) coloured body with a yellow engine bay.

Dump it! Low as a can go... theres something about old cars that look standard, and are just dumped... I like that look for reasons unknown.

Still.... lowering, mags and tyres, engine work and a respray for around $700!!!!

Man I want those hookups... panel and paint on my car was $1200 alone and that was mates rates :?

Rims and tyres were $1200 at near COST

Engine was $750 and that was with Alfa club discount

Suspension was $750 for lowered springs and adjustable shocks all round.... don't think it comes much cheaper than that!

it wil probably be closer to 1000$ but i wasnt including the engine work in that 700 esimate, i have no desirew to soup up my engine any time soon, just a louder exhaust will do me fine.

hehe aahhhh that brings me back to my days of the starlet with its exhaust, man it was loud for a little car...(didnt help that the pipe from the muffler curved down towards the ground and made it sound louder than it really was).

For the real K series engine experience, get a lumpy cam put in it. yeah its a bitch in a carbed car to keep the idle right all the time, but hte amount of people u get thinking on what kind of engine u have under ur hood is something i wouldnt mind experiencing again. K series engines with a cam in em sound very very grumpy :P ( used to get shitloads of ppl ask me if i had a rotor in mine, till i lifted the hood and disapointed them with my 4k of "fury" :P )

yea lol my "3k of fury" all 1200 cc's of her.

ive been wondering what the best thing to do would be, like just a new exhaust with a big tip and i muffler that is loud. is that how it works?

whats the best thing to do to get it sounding louder and gruntier, i dont want it to go faster, just sound as sexy as it looks.

Axle back exhaust fitment usually does it for most cars...until you get into big horsies and stuff... actually, no idea what a KE30 sounds like... :D

ELOK mate, i dont want to shit on your parade, but those ke30s are a pretty ugly car,. if you can get it looking sweet i'll eay my words but i prefer the ke20. since u dont have a 20 i'd suggest u get some wheels under it so that it goes round corners good, then when u get around to painting it that lime green should look pretty hot.
good luck with the car mate
