They dont make them at all anymore... Probably for good reason as they are shit tyres..

A friends Escort had a similar problem although the tyre guys believed it was "Over tyred" with the big wide rubber it had on it. He went to a narrower, different tyre and it was a totally different beast.

Id agree with that, i found that 185's were about the best compromise, the poms reckon the its easy to ruin the handling of an escort with too much tyre.
Eagers are still a pretty average tyre tho!
