Hahaha

I'm a "techno" person mainly. More specifically to anyone that cares... Hard house,Prog house, Funky house, Nu NRG, Drum and bass and Trance.

That of my chest I do listen to rock too. Shit like Oasis, Midnight Oil, Def Leppard, Shihad... and I'm talking their older stuff here not the new crap that some "decent" bands tend to vomit up. The Killers would be near the top at the moment too. And as for screaming... oh sorry "roaring" heavy metal shit... can't stand it, just sounds like someone trying to be tough to me... and truely tough people don't have to try and be tough :D

Ummmmmmm.............. :?

Everything from As I Lay Dying, Trivium and Machine Head thru to
Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Portishead and Zero 7.

Rap-wise, I dig Eazy-E, NWA, Public Enemy, Black Sheep, Slick Rick etc, but sadly I can't say I'm "down" with G-Unit and suchlike, homies.

The older rap and hip-hop I think the lyrics were more intelligent :?: when there was more to rap than who's going to shoot who and which other rapper is a "bitch" 8O

I think the Beastie Boys said it best with the line "Nothing sounds quite like an 8 - 0 - 8" (Fellow music-making Geeks you know what I mean :D ).

Basically I'll listen to anything with a good melody and/or intelligent lyrics...

Yeah man, what happened to rap being all about "bitches, 40's, and blunts" :D oh, and I just read your post re: R+B - agree with ya, a bit of R+B from time to time hits the spot (and I own "The Best of En Vogue" which earns me a lot of sh*t from various people, but it's good to chill to...)

cheese wrote:... but drunken sing alongs to epic iron maiden tunes is the best :D

Got to agree with this also, nothing beats a bit of drunken, off-key "fear of the dark", "run to the hills", or especially "the trooper"

Im not all techo, I do like the odd big of rock, and bass-heavy songs, high tempo ones I love also. Evil sounding sounds seem to fit well also for some odd reason 8)

Legend of Max - ZZ is a good example.
