nice :)

Well I was in your situation a while back, when I was deciding weather or not to move to Japan for a job.
I had a great life in New Zealand but it just wasn't going anywhere fast.
There is no doubt about it, I would rather live in New Zealand than here in Japan, but the reason I am staying here is the opportunity it gives me.

Like others are saying, you should go if it is short term ( no matter where it is ) but depending on the situation of the long term more details are needed to decide weather it is a good idea or not.

If would ahve to be f*!king good money, and short term, with a partner, mortgage etc it aint easy to get up and go!! But if it could take a chunk off the mortgage it would be a goer. Totally depends on situation, if i was single, and didnt like my job, i'd go long term.
If you say please, im on my knees

As a graduate from Secondary School I had a job lined up to go work in Japan, full time, sweet deal.. they were gonna give me a house, food allowance..and pay me, and I asked myself the question. I'd say working overseas would be a great experience...and you can always come back.

(I didn't get to go to that Job cause of the damn Embassy not giving me a work visa, due to lack of 'Tertiary education or relevant work experience' :( :( )

Well I've made the move from SA to here permanent around 5 years back and I would have to say it's not he easiest thing to just pick up and go.

You have to leave your whole life behind....family, friends etc etc

For me to have to make that sort of a move again it would have to be an absolute PRIME place to live and the money would have to be very very good for me to even consider a move like that again.

Like everyone else, I think for me it would depend on the job, the pay, the country and if my partner could come with...

If I was single and working in a crappy job, it'd be a hell yeah :D

We've got a guy working here who also did the move from SA to here.

I just wish he would go back

All you need to do to get a job in aus is to apply for one. You dont need to be offered one. Im going over there soon starting as a kitchen hand working 12 hour shifts getting $17 ph with free accomodation. If I was 18 I could be getting tripple that ammount. I say go for it and get a job in another country

If I didnt have a son, I'd say I would probably have buggered off to Aussie by now, even if only for a few years. I have lot of family in the UK, but it doesnt quite have the same appeal.

Thats why the hell im going. My mate just got offered a job as a prenailer for $30/hr on the gold coast and hes taking it - hes gone in january. Prenailing is simple as long as you can read a plan and are accurate. Im not far behind. Do the same job i do here for twice the money. And people say australians are stupid. Also with aussie its a 150 plane ticket back home - nothing thats going to break the bank. Im soooo outtie
