AE101 Levin/trueno: Facelift lip good or bad?

Postby B1NZ » Thu Apr 24, 2003 11:52 pm

hey was just wondering what others opinions on those facelift models were, you know as do you like the little lip on the rear or would you rather have the full spoiler,

Personally i hate the lip, it was one of the few $&#$% ups on the facelift model as well as calling it a facelift model when it should have been called an asslift model or something cos the front never changed people - it was the back!!!

there are a few things the facelift models have over the non face lift. Rear bumper, rear lights, rear spoiler -
Get a real spoiler!!

it is a real spoiler, torana's started them non facelift 101's kept them alive and now the heat treatments gtr has one (it's the quickest gtr in australsia you know) so they must be all good as i believe they are. Also on the facelift the front is slightly different, slightly deeper standard front better lighting that sort of thing! They did go a bit fugly on the grill with the levins but the grill on the levins are just plain silly looking anyway!
Unless you have a 111 when the levins look better than the truenos, specially if they are lowered with factory sidesirts!
But then your asking about the lip not just the whole package and i've gone off topic again so my answer is
On the non face lift model the lips would look silly but on the face lift model they belong there. So yes they look good!!

Agreed on that one!! The face lift model lip would look silly on most cars!! Yeah, it suits the face lift model, but it's still fugly! :)

I think you didn't get a facelift model because they aren't as common as the non facelift version and you didn't know they existed.

long flat lips theres one on a white gtz levin in palmy and that spoiler looks phat.

Agreed :!: i've been trying to have a chat to that dude ever since i first saw the car. Unfortunately the only times i've seen it is either driving the other way or turning to go somewhere in front of me so i haven't had a chance to ask him where he got it from!
