Kiwis P-40 options

Postby kiwi4agze » Thu Oct 20, 2011 12:41 pm

Hi
I want to know what you would do in my situation.
I have been offered a number of gun/rocket sights and cockpit setups from various planes from 1940 to 1970.

Would you keep the P-40 original even tho your using a turboprop engine or would you modenize it?

All of which can be made functional, apart from some military hardware on the jets most items can accept civilian parts.

it will have 6 brownings as per the real example each with 200 rounds. They will be .30cal not .50cal and be blanks only.

I'd be seriously surprised if you were allowed to fit working weapons to your plane!

as long as they can never fire live ammunition they are classified as reenactment items, much like a .30cal on a jeep or a tank...
