Is that due to the throwing up? Or the burning of your insides?

:? are you crazy?

' Absinth Dangers?,

Absinthe is made from wormwood, which contains a toxic chemical called thujone. This chemical appears to cause, among other things, convulsions, hallucinations, and blindness. For this reason, it has been banned in many countries, including the United States. While most kinds of alcohol can cause health problems if consumed in excess, absinthe is illegal because it is potentially much more damaging to your health. For more information, log onto US Department of Health and Human Services National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information.

TeenHealthFX strongly recommends that you don?t try absinthe, both because it is illegal and because it could be very harmful to your health'

I think No_halo was talking about the shite stuff in New Zealand. Green label. 89.9% alcomohol. It isn't the wormwood that gets you.
I have worked in a bar that serves it, stupid shit for stupid people. Now, they do not serve anything over 49%.
I had a bottle at home just for show. It starts crystallizing in the bottle, and evaporates if not airtight. Awesome to look at but nothing else.

For the Absinth obsessed…

http://www.absinth.com/cgi-bin/s_cart03/perlshop.cgi

Death will be slow but enjoyable. The green fairy, I've read, is the perfect muse. 8O

Absinthe
is flavoured distilled liquor, emerald green in colour, turning to cloudy, opalescent white when mixed with water. It inspired many prominent artists, writers and poets. Just to name a few - Vincent Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Manet, Ernest Hemingway - in fact his masterpiece " For Whom The Bell Tolls " was written under the influence of "The Green Fairy". Absinthe was first produced commercially in 1797 by Henry-Louis Pernod, who purchased the formula from a French exile living in Switzerland.

Never understood why people drink... horrid stuff that makes you act like a fool and do things you wouldn't normally do. Hrmmm maybe it doesn't make you, maybe you always wanted to but never had an excuse to do it and then try and get away with it. I say bring back probation. Ban the evil alcohol, gift from God, tainted by man. Making me do silly things that are caught on tape, damn stuff. Hate it ... *looks around* Oh Hi! People listening - crickey!
It appears that it also makes you talk to yourself. See evil I tell ya!

The absinthe available in NZ doesn't have the real wormwood stuff, just extract or essence.
But still, 89.9%, sheesh.. I regretted it :P
