Why is that a 'syndrome' all of the sudden?
Don't know what Asburgers is, but Aspergers syndrome has been around since Hans Asperger first proposed the existence of what he called "extreme male brain" in 1934, so it's hardly all of a sudden. It's just that instead of diagnosing high functioning autistic spectrum disorders as schizophrenia, schizoid, or narcissistic personality disorders they are now being correctly diagnosed as Aspergers Syndrome.
EDIT: Doh! pretty much beaten to the punch by sergei, who shares a common point of view with me.
He also seems to share a common Neurotypical condition with you. One of the contortionist disorders if I’m not mistaken. Either “Head up the Arse syndrome”, or either of the related conditions of “Talking out the Arse syndrome”, or “Foot in Mouth syndrome” the latter two of which seem to be caused by the former.
Fortunately for you, unlike those with autistic spectrum disorders, there is a cure. Firstly you have to take the painful step of extracting your head from the cavity in which you have placed it. Then, after cleaning the crap off you face, you need to start using the brain which you should possess (no not that one, the one in the big head) and do some research before posting drivel like you’ve been spouting.
For some people Aspergers isn’t what I’d class as a mental “illness” but it is most definitely a mental health issue. For others it is a seriously debilitating condition that affects every aspect of their lives to the point that they can no longer function in society, and as such definitely qualifies as an illness.
