Yeah, but the Typhoon will still womp it good.

What makes you say that? The specs gaven't even been released - and the NA SV6 outperforms the NA XR6.....

thats like people saying *nah, 1 turbo is way better than 2*

go tell that to the chap with the twin turbo rotor :).

im sure its setup a certain way so they do have effect's on it.

eg 2 larger gear's spinning them rather than a faster one, reason being, MORE boost in the high end, id imagine that engine is seutp for an amazing amount of boost.

you obviously dont understand how a ROOTS blower system works??
that setup is pure show unless he is feeding 1 charger per bank of cylinders which he isnt then it is running the same boost level as one would. there is a T-bucket running twin chargers and i have one on my site with twin chargers if you look at the setup in those then you will understand what i mean. as there feeding SEPERATE cylinder banks.

being belt driven you can not feed 1 faster than the other into a single plenium. if the top one is spinning faster than the bottom then the bottom one will slow the intake charger anyway and if the bottom one is spinning faster the the top one then it will only starve the top one these blowers do not free spin at all.
it is pure show.
DR-X and as for winning summernats all that is, is a SHOW and even setup like that you could still get round 600 to 700hp yes but you could and will get exactly the same power as a single 6/71 (ie 6x71 = 426cuin) so at a 1/1 ratio on the pulleys that is how much air is being pressurized in the manifold as that is where these blowers pressurize and the only way to over/under drive a roots blower is pulley change.

Of course it's pure show, IT WAS BUILT FOR SHOW, NOT GO! But it obviously goes pretty well, it had to, to win Grand Champion.

Like I said, Gary Myers is no ammatuer, he's one of australias best car builders, and he knows what he's doing better than you do.

yeah exactly he builds SHOW cars and he is dam good at it i can name afew past winners that are as good as he is as well.

but all im saying is that blower setup is PURE SHOW it will do nothing power wise than a single setup will do, that is my point. you tell me how you can force air threw something that is going to spin faster or slower and are not free spinning as there belt driven, as these setups pressurize the MANIFOLD not the chargers themself.

yeah i dont like the way the ford shape has gone the GT-P's etc are ok but they still look to much like family wagons :S where i find the holden has a more agressive stance to it. so yes holden :D

plus he also has an 8/71 (568 cuin) feeding into a 6/71 (426cuin) so unless he is feeding them at a ratio that will drive them at the same speed (which i would understand to work) he will be trying to push 568cuin threw a 426cuin hole now like i said unless he is under/overdriving one our the other there will only be as much air as the 6/71 is going to push threw hence my point that a 6/71 will do exactly the same as that setup.

he has gone for show hence the win and good on him it is a dam fine car but i personnaly think the charger setup looks stupid but thats just IMO.
and its not even ford powered :P LOL go the HEMI!!!! that is a dam fine make of motor :D:D gotta love the 426 :D:D pitty he only went 393 :(
now this guy knows how to make show cars :D:D

I think youll find that guys who are going for some serious power will use one huge turbo rather than two turbos.
Check out all the drag skylines and rotories, most will have one big turbo.

actually come to think of it his other mustang is CHEVROLET POWERED!!!!! LMAO dam fine muzzie that to.
dont see many FORD powered chevy's round do you :P

they all seem to be chevy powered fords so that must say something! :P:P

LOL too much to say, where to start?

dont see many FORD powered chevy's round do you

Err, I've probably seen more ford powered chev's than vice versa.

plus he also has an 8/71 (568 cuin) feeding into a 6/71 (426cuin) so unless he is feeding them at a ratio that will drive them at the same speed (which i would understand to work) he will be trying to push 568cuin threw a 426cuin hole now like i said unless he is under/overdriving one our the other there will only be as much air as the 6/71 is going to push threw hence my point that a 6/71 will do exactly the same as that setup.

Again, I think Gary knows what he's doing better than you do. I think he has it pretty well sorted. Remember, [b]Grand Champion[/i] isnt just for show, it means BEST CAR at summer nats, all around.

yeah exactly he builds SHOW cars and he is dam good at it i can name afew past winners that are as good as he is as well.

So I take it you're not familiar with his other work? Like his world championship holding burnout mustang? He builds more than just SHOW cars.

Actually, not really...

Check out these records :

http://exvitermini.com/records.htm

Most of the quickest 6s are twin turbo.... I think every 6s import so far are twin turbo ;)

Just for interests sake, this is my favourite hot rod - I have the full article in the Nov 2003 Street Machine mag at the top of my Mag stash always ready to be read again, Glen Grozich's 1200hp Twin turbo 1962 Chev Biscayne.

IMHO, its the shit!

well i dont know what part of town or country you from but i have hardly ever seen any ford powered chevy's

all the coupes are generally chev powered as are most pick ups (32-34)
t-buckets are generally chev powered.

i have very rarely seen many ford powered chevy's round and i use to belong to a hotrod club and all there fords (majority of them anyway) were chevy powered fords.

and i thought i did mention his CHEVROLET powered burnout champion winning burnout mustang :P hence CHEVROLET POWERED!!!!.

Yes, you mentioned that. I was pointing out the fact that you said he only makes show cars, when in fact his mustang owns the title of Burnout champ of the world.

and your point being??

his new stang is also a dedicated show/strip machine and good on him for building a quality show stopping car but as i said IMO i hate the setup of the twin chargers i think it looks stupid, might go dam quick/good but it still looks stupid.

http://photos.data.net.nz/?display=V6RO ... 0Blown.jpg
personally i think this is just as stupid but as a SHOW car it looks good, as does his muzzie.

thats the point im trying to make.
and as i stated bout the charger setup he could have made the same power from a single 6/71 or 8/71 thats all i was saying, but he went for SHOW aswell as go.
end of descussion for me.
