Clarkson would be probably damn near unbearable in person, but for an hour on a Sunday on the TV, I find him amusing.

He's a terrible driver though!

Watch for the whiplash whenever he's dialling out some oversteer. Stig is of course, beyond cool.

I don't care how well he can drive - Top gear is for entertainment value, and he does that more than capably. The other old dude is a bit of a third wheel though (I forget his name).

Exactally. Also he can't be that bad a driver, else nobody would ever let him drive those cars. I think some people might be confusing 'bad driver' with 'showoff for the cameras' driver.

Probably some BS that Prime made up because they were too cheap to pay for the new season, I watched a new episode on Monday morning on BBC.

I love Clarkson's quotes, they are rather memorable. James May is very subtle and has some very dry wit, it probably flys over the heads of most viewers.

Clarkson - sometimes very amusing, sometimes a complete knob.
hard to give a straight answer on the guy.

yeah, james is the funniest in a clever joke kind of way.
Im pretty sure they are doing the replays because clarkson injured his back and couldnt finish the season.
new season soon though...

I think those 3 need to do a few laps in the <insert whatever cheap car they're using now> and see what their times come out as. Fair few people better than Clarkson last series.

I like James May as well. His let down is that he doesn't give a car all its worth. His mum is a pretty good driver though

Though he left the other behind in the Ferrari along the back roads... As he said on that segment, time and a place for everything. I think they portray him that more than they do the others as thats how they want him to come across

Nope, watch how he drives. He is lousy at judging correction, compare it to the stig's driving especially when he gets a car sideways and then straightens it out so smoothly that you wouldn't spill a cup of tea. Meanwhile, Clarkson corrects so viciously that he hits his head against the b pillar. It's not about showing off, it is about his level of car control. Clarkson is barely average, while Stig is a professional.

theres no doubt the stig is better, thats not the question here, i just think clarkson is a BAD driver. hes not the best, but hes not bad.
