I used to be an aircraft mechanic in the RNZAF I have done a bit of apprentice training on the strike master, they do have that fairly cool side by side seating position, but I wouldn't give you much for the horrid undercarriage design and the lack-lustre power plant.
current cars:
Evo 4 230Kw atw
1971 mini.
79 bugeye 245kw atw.
Evo powered mx5 under construction

i vote for tank, and a large aeroplane that the tank can parachute out of into eden park / destiny church / revheads

also, if what you say is true and your son is really a drop kick, i nominate myself for adoption.

I can't imagine that it would be a cheap exercise to fly or maintain a Strikemaster!

a single 20mm cannon is hardly a threat!, max celing is maybe 1500m, i just fly above that and drop a LGB on his ass...

The engines in the strikemaster are very low powered, but i dont need a supersonic jet

1GZ-FE? But then again I guess that leaves you with converting a car motor to aero use. Or the Falconer V12 as seen in http://www.thundermustang.com/, but again I'd imagine that would cost a fair whack as well.. bmw make a few decent V12s too.

Lol.. yes, just been reading up on BMW and its' origins in aircraft engines.. still, I think the 1GZFE would perhaps be a little too big and heavy for your airframe?

Plus is a nazi engine
Toyota = Nazi supporters...

Too heavy compared to the allison and under powered. Even the crappy allison made 1,100kw, the merlin upwards of 2,000kw. The 1GZFE is 400hp

There is your "Tank" for $4500

Thats almost affordable! But a FV 432 has got to be the Toyota Previa of "tanks". I was thinking of something much more unaffordable and impractical.
Like these:

If I win Lotto, an impractical and large armoured vehicle is definitely on the "list". :D
