i agree the chinese will be hard but @ the end of the day they will lose
the chinese dont have the ability to project control much outside there borders, they cant stop attacks being launched. so the yanks are in the cheque position, they control the game, they decide when and where ti happens, even how it happens.

i dont think they r hicks, nor would the yanks.

its still a fact that the chinese r not up to the same technology, and no matter how many men you have waiting unless the yanks land, they make easy targets for bombing.

tell me how china can win, if america lands no ground forces ?
tell me how china can control the war (make the yanks react) ?
if in fact china can control its own airspace can it control any outside its borders ?

The thing is the US could quite capably knock out Chinas heavy industry or at least cripple it, can you say the same thing about China crippling the USA's industry?
Aircraft carriers would be quite useful for invasions of ports and infrastructure, then you got the subs to launch seaborne coastal missile attacks.

but when staying on topic that doesnt matter, as the question states usa invading china... that makes all the difference to the argument.

to succssesfully invade a country you have to subdue thier forces, which the usa quite frankly probably cant do. unless they go nuke.
while the usa would totally dominate the seas, and eventually pretty much own the air, over the coast gaining control of the land is another matter.
dont forget the chinese culture, they will just throw hordes of men at any enemy.

so in an invasion of china, the usa would more than likely lose unless they went nuke. they just dont have the man power.
its all good saying thier airforce can just bomb them, but the yanks just dont have the man power to pull that off.

china is big, they can pool resources inland out of reach of the us forces, ok so b52s can reach all of china, but they can be shot down easy. and the us has no fighters that can reach inner china. so all china has to do is build up inland, and base thier airforce inland. the us woul drun out of man power waaay before the job is done

and the us has no fighters that can reach inner china.

cruise missiles, stealth bombers/fighters, even hornets after they have weakened the air defense systems.

then since we are not going nuke, any large build up of forces can be targeted with fuel air explosives. extremely effective i hear.

ill go to conclusion, china now has no airforce, ineffective air defense, no sea power, no ability for command and control (since the yanks target anything that emits radio waves). it cant build up forces, when it tries they get owned. the yanks then target power and water supplies.

that seems like a winning situation.

sure they have there "starving billions" with 6 ak's each and unlimited ammo.

the only thing the yanks will do is support an uprising from inside, supply weapons and air cover. the yanks can wait china cant rebuild when it has no control of its airspace.

its just a matter of time, the yanks play the waiting game, they can afford to wait. china cant.

i think in this situation teh yanks have kicked ass, and with limited loss of life on there side.

the same cant be said for china, great losses, a starving population, with out clean water supplies and power with no ability the change there situation.

@ best china can hope for an extended stalemate, but in the end they will have lost.

but when staying on topic that doesnt matter, as the question states usa invading china

the yanks invaded there airspace, control there borders, maybe even some of the coast. im agreeing u c, the yanks and i know they cant win a extended ground war in central china, so they dont do it and they dont need 2 as i have pointed out. the yanks only fight the battles they know they can win.

on the conspiracy front.
what do u think the chances r that the yanks planted false info on there spy plane knowing it was going to be taken. I think its 50/50 either way.

chinas big....

cruise missiles, stealth bombers/fighters, even hornets after they have weakened the air defense systems.

of those only the stealth bombers have the range.
and they have very very few of those.
not enough to do it on thier own.
so china can still basiclly run their interior as normal.

the yanks will have one hell of a hard time pounding thier infrastructure inland. china is light years ahead of iraq, fact is they are not that far behind the usa.
the usa could prob only get a a hundred or so fighters in theatre at once. they will have to base them on carriers and taiwan. and will need air to air refueling (see info re chinese sams in link below)

why do you think the us has refrained from recognises taiwan as a sovreign nation? because they dont want to upset china... sure a lot of that is economical, but some of it is because the usa would have a rather nasty fight o thier hands against the chinese

heres some thing i found...

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread43511/pg51

also some would consider a stalemate a chinese victory... as the usa would not have sucsessfully invaded them

iv had enough of being a geek tonight, im off to dream of having a life!

I'd imagine we won't have long to wait to see what will transpire...keep an eye on "rebel provinces" over the next months/years... :?

I'm thinking a blockade/Mexican standoff in Taiwan soon.

China Vs USA

Postby SurfWagon » Tue Mar 22, 2005 2:51 pm

Yep

Its good to be proud of my fellow country men and ancestors. You wouldn't be watching Initial D or DVDs free of charge without those cheap chinese copies circulating around the world.

The pc you use this very moment has components made in China.

The Warehouse wouldn't exist without China , hence 1000s of kiwi would be unemployed otherwise. Cheap labour in China is nothing to be proud of but I guess thats part of life in a huge underdeveloped country.

Anyway I'm not here to cause trouble, this was a poll regarding a ficticious war.. Everyone has their own answers.

Gentlemen, I think your missing one basic observation. When was the last time anyone invaded a country and won?

Americans Iraq?
Americans Afghanistan?
Iraq Kuwait?
Russia Afghanistan?
American Vietnam?
France Vietnam?
Germany France?
Germany Russia?

I could add hundreds more.

Who would win between America and China. Neither, would the Russians win if they launched an all out attack in the wake of an America China battle? I think not. Does anyone ever win a war?

The purpose of war is not peace, the purpose of war is to maintain war.
The answer is Helmholtz!

China would $&#$% the US over. BIG TIME.

They'll be like - $&#$% this shit homes, and grab their AK's (they probably retained enough to arm the entire population) and go shoot some yanks.

Remember, the AK is still regarded as this centurys most proficent handheld automatic weapon.
