The only thing (which has been stated previously) is that the 300ZX is an absolute C_UNT to work on. There is ZERO room under the bonnet to do Farking anything... :?

yep the whales are good. My favorite

Mmm there is pretty much no where to work on them, especially TT

 @ 300z

and the GTO...... *dies laughing*

both overweight, well known for crap handling and being slugs.
sure you can get some wicked power out of the 300, but the chassis cant use it.

they were designed as bolevard cruisers for the american market.... enough said.

I disagree, there's room for drop tools into the most difficult spot to get to

For its size it handles alright.

Mr2 would be alot better obviously, due to the 300kg less weight!

No, its not because of the mr2's weight

its because of its freaking weight balance....

dude, mr2's handle 10x better than 300zx's, gto's, soarers, etc

Yes, they can all make more power, But you can get an mr2 pretty bloody quick fairly cheap.

Just seriously, apples to oranges >.<

Comparing one kind of car to another is not like comparing apples to oranges. :?

They both have an engine, they both have 4 wheels.
They both work on the prinicples of power to weight and are both subject to the laws of physics.

I think they compare quite nicely
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

yes lol, but the main difference is that ones mid engined and small, while the other front engined and is large. I think thats why this isnt the best comparison. A tt supra would have been the best but never mind!! :P

however your right they are very comparable in the area of power to weight ratios.

Can drop them in an MR2 and have them mysteriously disappear before they get to the ground to. Damn them. That car owes me a SnapOn ratchet spanner

its a well known fact that while working on cars if you drop something it is 90% more likely to land in an arsehole spot than the ground.

hence why you should ALWAYS tape up ports, turbos and pipes etc. coz if you drop a nut.......

And tray under the cars usually just act as scoops to redirect said tool to a location in the body of the car that you can neither see nor reach.

could have fallen into the undercarriage bit where the water lines run.

*shrug* not my problem now anyway.

Man...when I was taking the head of the 3S earlier this week, I was undoing the head bolts with my hexagon headed socket. Unfortunately the socket is basically a normal 10mm socket with a 3cm long bit of hardened hexagon bar in it, and it sometimes falls out. When I was undoing the last bolt, the hexagon bar bit fell out of the socket, and down an oil gallery into the engine. Tried to get it out with a magnet but it was stuck. That really sucked.

Or did you get it out?

"Flush 'em out...."

Just put the head back on and fill it and start her up! She'll just fly into the oil filter!

May damage a few things along the way, but hey, it would be a fun way to f*ck an engine :D
