AE111 does not have a Silvertop...

the only reason ppl think silvertops "under perform" is due to the factory quoted figures. that and they hate our fuel.... run em on 98 and they are good.
dyno day plots mean nothing.....
iv owned and driven all examples of the 4age, except the black top, to know what im talking about.
stock for stock the 20vs are better.

can anyone claim low 15s with a stock 16v?

Because all 4AGTEs are 16V....

Depends entirely on your definition of "better"

I've driven all 4AGE generation, and silver top feels a more torqueier than anything else (in 4AGE). Big borts they feel like have big flat spot between 0 and 4500rpm, small ports just feel flat, black top feels like it is almost in power band but never gets there...

I've never seen anyone run a low 15 in a stock 20v, so why should a 16v live up to that?

I've done 14.9's on totally stock excluding the exhaust, full interior etc, So with standard exhaust I'm sure it would've done low 15's

Just reading through this..and couldn't resist to bump it, sorry :)

Below are 2 vids, ae92 GTi Redtop 16v & ae101 BT20v (swapped)
The ae92 has no interior left in it, it weighs 980kg. With 2 persons it's about 1120kg. The ae101 weighs about the same (1040kg + driver). The ae101 still has the 180km/u speed limiter. Both engines are stock except for airfilters.

Dude, wtf, this thread is so old, it was around before Cozmo was banned.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
