How often do you get passed on the open road?

This is a indicative poll to find out what peoples' driving speeds are like, judged by how often you get passed (not how often you pass other cars!!)on the open road - thats is, Motorways, Express Ways and Open road without congestion, driving you normal car without trailers or other encumberments.

I don't really go over 110* all that much but I don't get passed too much up north. I must admit that maybe its cos I have a tendancy to swerve dangerously for no apparent reason. (other than my car has only one tie rod)

*That could be a blatent lie told to evoke a sense of respect and show that I do drive sensibly and within the law, it could also be true.

Sometimes on Racing (Read Passing) Lanes, but mostly I do most of the passing.

What realy gets up my nose, is when ppl travel at 90ish untill a racing lane then boot it at 110 to stop ppl passing. (One reason why I am looking for an engine upgrade at the mo )

I have no problems with letting ppl pass me with in reason, but if i see them trying to do it in a stupid point in time like on a blind corner, or if there tailgaiting me, ill piss them off to teach them a lesson. (such as speed up).

My favourite tactic for the arsehole drivers out there on passing lanes is i speed up to be level with another car in the left hand lane and sit there, so the dickhead behind me cant get past, then just as the lanes merge, drop a gear and take off, leaving him behind the slower vehicle.

Did this to a car not so long ago that thought it was a good idea to try and see what was up my exhaust pipe (he was that close behind me i couldnt see his headlights!).

that teaches them a lesson, but i have had it backfire once and had the person stalk me when they got an opportunity to pass the car in front of them. 8O ...thank god he was in a shitter, and i could outdo him on the twisty bits, lost him completely :P

If i get caught up in the convoy to the 'illegals', il always get passed by some n00b trying to show off that they passed a supercharged car, i could easily hold them off but why bother, 9/10 times the cops are watching ya, i just laugh wen i see them busted down the road further

well that actually makes you just as much of an arsehole as the other driver, considering you will probably be pissing off everyone behind him trying to pass as well

Maybe so, but they shouldnt be tailgating me so close that they can see whats inside my muffler should they? i dont tailgate people so why should they do it to me? and in most cases if i use this tactic theres rarely anyone else behind that vehicle as well. I should stop doing it but its my way of punishing ppl that dont show respect for me, and nine times out of ten its a n00b in a honda that thinks his 1600 n/a civic is the shit and i dont belong on the road.

If they're tailgating you, just let them go past.
No sense aggravating an idiot behind the wheel. 8)

So what if it's some fool that you think is "disrespecting you"...

Who's bigger? The person that knows and respects the road, or the person who abuses the privelege of driving?

Well this weekend I took the SW20 for a real test run down to Tauranga.
On the way back today, the ratio was 1:27 :P

:D :D :D , I like it, Aerodynamics theory.. maybe you running a bit too much down force, which reduced your stright line speed, but I bet you kick their ass in the corners..
