The not quite finest Honda vs. Toyota?

Postby Lith » Sun Nov 14, 2004 7:32 pm

OK people, casting the obviously not-applicable 20v vs. VTEC debate aside - which of these highly unstrung often overlooked oddballs would you expect to be the victor in a bit of a 1/4 mile brawl with equivalent modifications? Most interested to see opinions!

looking at the figures on paper i would say it should come down to driver, the cars should be even with the Levin loosing on power but making up for it with the weight factor! (i had no idea Domanis were that light) 8O maybe its the tin foil panels

At the end of the day a Cynos/Paseo would be a much better contender..............................................NOT

LOL :) I think you underestimate the Cynos! The Domani did 15.7 on it in pretty ideal conditions, and I doubt I could get it quicker.

I know that a domani lunches a GT Apex Levin so I don't know how an SJ would or COULD beat it unless the driver was like bang on with all shifts and the domani driver was like a yeti or something..

I dunno eh, I think a similarly modded SJ would probably be on a par with the mighty Dobermani

yeh, the nossie will win :).

dont crack cynos ^_^, gfs bet many a boxy civic in hers :), quick we thing (after putting on the exhaust the throttle required for normel accel up until 5k rpm has changed a heap, requires alot less throttle now), maybe its that giant poddie attached to the intake :D.

at 5k you need at least 3/4th throttle to keep it going, but she goes hard right up till 7200 rpm redline. roar 115hp!

lol SJ

This would really be an absolute joke- I think we need to get some footage side by side, as well as putting the domani VS a DA6 which is a bit a 20v killer to show the diff-

If you have driven a Domani (or dobermani as brad nicely put it :D ) youll know why :)
