Oh, and yes, I have been in one accident.

It was the morning after a Slinky at the Alexandra race course. A couple of years back now.
I was exhausted and went back to my Suzuki Escudo. Only to find that my window was smashed and someone had stolen my CD player, guitar amp and a DVD.
Along come my friends whom I brought with me, me being somewhat devistated as this was the first time I had my car broken into.
So anyway, we start to head off to a friends place to relax and just forget my worries. We stop at a dairy on the way to pick up provisions.
4 - 5 of us all hop back in the car and I start to reverse. Only I should have been paying more attention. BANG. Right into the front of a Camry wagon. I think I actually started banging my head against the steering wheel.
Something like $600 for the bonnet and a couple of hundred more for bumper work. WHAT A GREAT $&#$% START TO THE DAY!!!!!
The mighty Escudo however, came out unscathed. Go Suzuki, go.

So yea, it seemed that fate really took me up the rear that day. Since then, I've been much more careful in all aspects that happened on that fateful day. The faceplate for the CD player ALWAYS comes off. Alarm is in place and always set, no matter if I'm even 10 metres away from my car and I have developed a 360 degree detection in my brain that keeps me aware of all that is going around.

And to this day, I have not had anything else stolen or any other crashes.

The most recent, was the young lass who drove her grandmas car into the back of mine in Levin this afternoon as I was on the way back to Auckers from Welly

you should have put an "other" option as well and i say why.
although i have had the fortune to avoid being in a car crash i have however been hit by a car . riding my bike home from work one day and this woman just reverses out of her driveway at speed without really looking. it was one of those moments in life where you see somthings about to happen and you can't do anything about it and you just say "oh....shit" a go limp

I got hit by the advocate van when I was 10.... banged my head pretty hard Wonder if that's got anything to do with my creeping retardation...?

I also drove off a cliff (only about 6 foot high) and got stuck between the cliff and a boulder.

sounds like our mate that got dragged along by the school bus coz he didnt get out the back door quick enough. anyone remeber that?

interesting enough i know of about 5 cases where this has happened. and also i know of 2 people who have been hit by a bus while on their bikes, one chick got dragged like 100mtrs down the road b4 the bus stopped
she was pretty badly damaged

i also know of lots of people being hit by cars while on push bikes and one of my ex's is in hospital due to it which it happened when we were 15. he is pretty badly hurt, he cant walk and cant talk has to use one of those things where u type it in and it saiys it, takes him ages to do it tho.

i also know of a heap of people who have been hit by cars while on motorbikes, (thats what happens when ur mum and stepfather own a motorcycle place
