Hmm... I can't really say that I'm into all this VVT stuff. Maybe the VVTi as its constantly changing valve timing for optimum power and efficiency...

The 4AGZE could be a goer, as you're given more power across the whole rev range, but starts to get dull up top...

Mayhaps the 3SGTE, be it more peaky as a turbo, yet still delivers good numbers. But at least its got a powerband twice as wide as a Blacktop!

Would the 1JZ/2JZ not also belong in this poll?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

You can hardly give us a choice of wich Toyota Engine is the best EVER if you only have those listed there?

Are those like the only Engines you know of or did you just read their names somewhere and thought you'd start a pole on them?

What would the best Engine be based on? As you have to base your choice on something. Some engines will do better in others in different situations/classes so you can hardly put one engine out on top of all the rest as being 'The Best'.....

Hope you don't mind dude, I edited your post to include arguably Toyotas two best engine series.
Personally I think the 1GGTE is the bees knees but it's not a "popular" engine so I didn't include it.

4k without a doubt, easily the most reliable motor Toyota has ever built, plus it can be made to go, with a few thousand dollars thrown at it
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

$&#$% the V8s. The best mainstream engine would be the 20valve and BEAMS.

I voted for the V8, but only because it's a V8. IMHO Toyota dont really have any particularly stunning engines. 20v is a wank engine, the twin turbo's are quite underpowered for what they are. Even the V8 is quite a wussy engine.

seems hes quite happy with it. why improove on a power house such as the 3sfe? didnt you know. They replaced the 2jz with a 3sfe to create more high end power and low down torque.

Coupled with an auto tranny, its running 4's ;)

Like I've said a thousand times, I didn't buy my car for the mechanics of it. In fact this car was pretty much an impulse buy, I dont even really like it.

You'd make a pretty poor mod, kingcorolla. I'm as entitiled to my opinion as the next guy. This is a thread about Toyota motors, and I chipped in my $0.02. I prefer high displacement mens engines, personally.
