Is NZ too Politically Correct?

After watching Eating Media Lunch last night for a full episode I must say I quite enjoyed it. Jeremy Wells tackles questions in a different perspective. But a section on EML was of great interest and that is with NZ and its PC.
And what was said is true - i think NZ is getting to the stage where nobody can say anything un-PC without getting discriminated against. Its going to become a form of religion where people who refuse to be PC will just annoy the rest of the sheep followers in NZ.
Its even at the point where people are moving across the ditch to get away from it all.
Not taking a stab at anyone here one example is the retitling of jobs IE: Cleaning Technician - someones who cleans ie a janitor. They will always be known as a janitor - if they get all PC about its simple - CHANGE JOBS if you dont like being called a janitor.
Anyway what is everybodys views on this?
