Ok i have a 94 ae101 trueno.

I'm looking at lowering it but i have to options and would like your guys help....

Option 1 - King Springs 50m Drop
Option 2 - Dobi 30m Drop

I can get them for around the same price so id like to know what you guys reckon.

2 things to consider...
1. I already have 17's on it
2. I will be getting a TOMs front kit pretty soon!

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Danny

Kings, a 30mm drop just isn't enough...

AVOID the kings, they will make it feel like its on the bump stops....

the dobis are the best out of that lot, the best iv ever come across are the TRD ones, they lower it, they imporve the handling, and have an EXCELLENT ride..... not harsh and bumpy like kings. having your car bouncing around on the road is a BAD thing

Aren't shocks ment to stop the bouncing around? replace shocks as well.

go with the dobi's man..

upper hutt isnt the nicest of places to have a lowered car....

shocks are uspposed to stop the spring constatly bouncing....
with low hard springs like kings, the spring dosnt compress, instead the whole car bounces... as in your typical civic with superlows... notice how they bounce? BAD

Haha, who cares about ride and safety when its on bumpstops...it looks good parked...

Notice some people saying Kings are too soft, some say they are too hard...whats the deal?

kings = soft.. till they bind, therefore making car handle like on bumpstops
ie DANGEROUS.

kings generally have a crap ride quality

Haha, if you want springs that like to bind, get some Sabres, Kings are a dream compared to them.

I've seen an ae101 lowered on kings and the back was way higher in comparison to the front. MrRevheads ae101 looks alright with the TRD springs

I can't say I agree with that, having been in quite a few cars with king springs. Sure every product line has it's imperfections they are a reasonable manufacture on the whole.

I wouldn't get kings for an ae101 because they don't lower the back at all
