the only thing that should be attatched to a wankle... is a rope... and the only thing that should be attatched to the other end of that rope is a boat.
4age or maybe 3tgte if ur that way inclined

ok this is a measurement of phatness... not reliablility, preformance, fuel ecconomy or anything...
a rotor is known by all... at least 30% of nz population would recorgnise a non turbo rotory oldschool car... less than 3% of the population of nz would be able to point and go "check out that 4age'd oldschool *****"
i know this is toyspeed, so i have allready lost this discussion through numbers... but if i had both drive past most of the toyspeeders(without telling them one of them had a 4age).. it would be a pretty tight playing feild
just an opinion, i cant believe i have the rotor virus
Peace

4AGE,
I know what your saying pyscho dad, and i'd have to agree with you...
except its a rota, therefore NO.
Just put one of those stupid rota tips on a 4aged one, then you get all the pros of a 4age and the ONE pro of a rota, the sound.

rota tip? never heard of em... but im not a rice kinda person
dont get me wrong, i own a 4age and a rotor, and the rotor is the one thats not on the road, and im pouring all my money into... but thats the difference between the daily driver and the project car...

They are a sort of spring loaded muffler, at idle the pressure builds up and releases, giving the wap wap, but above idle its always open therefore just sounds like a normal muffler. Ive never seen one up close, only heard it and talked to the owner. It was on an old escort, sounded F****n stupid.
Dont know if someone actually makes them and sells them or if it was someones backyard custom project, that never really worked.
Either way, rice and pointless, it was a joke about using one.
I respect rota's, but will never understand the cult following they have.
(says one who is obssessed with toyotas)

the saddest thing about this cult following thing is the mentality of it...
i was talking to a guy a few years ago who said hes into his rotors(he was 16), anyway we went for a drive and i pointed out a batty and said "so thats what you like" and he said
... wait for it
"it would go better with a rotor in it"
see rotor isnt a engine to them, its a pair of oakley sunglasses, or a ck1 tshirt.. they like it cause its "cool"... and it really pisses me off cause im trying to learn more and share ideas about them, but most of the people who "like" them wouldnt know weather they have camshafts or not...
i really wish it didnt have its cult following to be honest, it would weed out nonenthusiests so i could get on to learning more about them
i dont want to go and harass rotary shops because i dont have the money to spend their which is just wasting their time
anyway peace

Oh please, please make a Toyota engine
It saddens me to see the rota conversion in the mighty old school rolla's.
I appreciate the work that goes it the conversion, but it's just wrong in my mind.
I turned a guy down who wanted to by my SR coupe who was going to put a 12a in it. And he offered me obscene money. I just couldn't have it on my conscience

Thats ridiculous!!
A pretty extreme case of standing your ground, as he will now find another one to put a rotary in anyway! fair enough though..
but rotors do sound kinda cool

Mine was 'one old man owner' before me, totally mint condition and deserved better than a rota.
(in my opinion) She went to a good home with much love and not a rota in site
I like rota's very much, however I do believe they should stay in a Mazda. mmmmm RX4 coupe...

Agreed, idiots that follow a craze, without any idea what its even about piss me off.
Same as the young fools who rant on about "docha's" they think it is a type of car, and that anything must be "docha" or rota to be worth looking at.
I know one such fools, I took him for a kane in my SR.
he said... "man this is pretty quick for an old car, is it rotad?"
"no," i said. "its a carbie pushrod"
"oh, he said confused, is it a docha?"
"no," i said again.
he looked sooo confused, then he said...
"then how is it so quick for an old car?"
I didnt bother trying to explain power to weight etc. if people dont know what they are talking about, they shouldnt pretend that they do!!!
