Even though it is illegal for them to be on the footpath i'd rather them there then on the road...

Poll rule number 1: The nature and content in posts must not offend, attack, degrade or discriminate against any person. ;)

Anyways, I dont think they're that bad but it does depend entirely on where it is and how fast they're going etc. Thing that pisses me off about them is sitting there at the lights and they go whenever they feel like it because they're on a bike.

I hate every single f_uckwit with a bike that rides it on the road.
They always block traffic, and they always bloody ride next to each other making it impossible for you to overtake them.

Death by Stoning seams to be a fitting punishment!!

Keep the pricks on the footpath. That way they stay the hell out of my way and at the end of the day that's really all that matters.

Spoken as one who has truly never ridden a bike :D Sure if they're uncurteous, abuse them like you would every other road user, but they belong on the road, definitely not the footpath.

You can't even ride a road-bike on the footpath in most places anyway, it's far too uneven.

they should be ridden on the road , and should follow road rules , and should be punished similarly when they break the road rules.

I rode a bike for most of my school years.

My comment stands. They should all be shot or stoned.
Alternatively if they stay out of the way when I'm driving I don't really care. They may keep their lives in that situation.

Naa dont drive that way now. Got a kid to look after in the back seat. 50kph all the way.

When you are pushing a pram and you have asswipe on bike, they just dont seem to give a damn.
I've abused a few teenages recently. Scares the shites out of them.

Throwing stones seems the trick. Tho I'd throw stones at people that litter, too.

Worst ones are the cyclists that just cross at the traffic lights, when your lights green and theirs is red..

In my mates Prelude (him driving), some guys were crossing, very slowly, when it was our green, so he just booted it at them, they soon moved

I dont mind cyclists, aslong as they stay in their lane(preferably on the footpath, pushing it cause it has a flat tire), and dont get in your way!

I dont agree on cyclists using the foot path, not unless its for a good reason, like its a particularly nasty section of road or something. I used to do it quite a bit in the many years of cycling I did, but I ALWAYS made sure that pedestrians had right of way, as it was THEIR LANE.

Some cyclists are rude too!
3 of us were sitting on the footpath, and 2 cyclists come along, and try squeeze through still using the foot path, only just missed hitting us, when they could of justy gone on the grass for 2 seconds!

if there just goin to pull out in front of people they should expect to get hit, not everyon has lightning fast reflexors and sometimes it wouldnt matter if you did  to*sers

i was hit when i was younger by a cyclist on the footpath, so they shouldnt be there.
should be on the road and obeying road rules

they are allowed to be side by side but not taking a whole lane up right?
but 4 side by side taking up the whole lane gets me pissed.

might carry a pole to stick in their spokes for next time.

$&#$%

I'm always up for a good stoning... (of the rock kind, not the green leaf :P)

I agree with the 'On the road, and follow the road rules' group.. they seem to have this notion that because they aren't in a engine-powered vehicle, that they are exempt to the road rules.. but still are obliged to their 'circle of protection' (cue Defensive Driving BS course)

cyclists are road users, just like motor cyclists and mopeds and slow cars and trucks.
If I drive at a speed that is comfortable for me, then all of the above get in my way. This doesn't give me the right to bunt the annoying ones off.

If you can't share the road... then get the f^%$ off it.

on topic: arrogant car users force some cyclists to the footpath as it is safer there... but this is more dangerous for foot traffic.

I'll give them room when they pay road tax and acc levies :P

If you want to ride a bike, take it to the mountain where they belong :D

Btw, not directed at Joe Public riding to and from work, but those lycra clad bastards who ride in packs on the open road up to 6 abreast.

So why is it, at primary school during 'Bike Safety Week' or whatever, that you are taught to ride in single file?!

It annoys the shit out of me that there are cycle lanes provided, but I've never actually seen a cyclist in one- they're always riding right beside the ferking thing on the road  IT'S THERE FOR A REASON DAMNIT!
