What engine for a KE20 project???!!!

Postby ke2nv » Tue Apr 17, 2007 11:41 pm

Hey guys........(and girls) i bought HRT's KE20 shell, have proceeded to completely strip it and I'm now in the process of sanding it back. And now im going through the dillema of what engine i want to put in it. After being taken for a ride in 'THE 20' on the weekend I was really surprised at how quick a 5K turbo can be!! I'd like to make this car a bit diffrent to all the other 20s (dont we all) but would like to stick with a K-series engine. Just looking for a few suggestions from anyone on this! Cheers

u seen that orange KE20 with the plate 'THE 20"? thats 5k turbo, and on 10psi that thing was mean! seemed quite driveable too, except in the wet i was told haha. so im thinking maybe a 7K would be even better?

An RA Celica will have an R series engine in it....

3TGTE's came from the likes of TA60 series Celica's, TT140 Corona GT-Turbo's to name a couple....
