I don't think they're bad at all, nobody understands how to merge properly so at least if we space them out a bit it might happen naturally.

Anyway, point made, we should focus on the topic at hand. Sorry sergei :P

Personally, I don't think that they made a noticable difference in Auckland traffic, even when I've noticed people obeying the lights and not running them.
Its hard to say if its the system at fault, or just because Auckland's motorway network is THAT bad...

i find they speed the motorway up especialy trying to get on at newmarket to go north. when you get used to the timing you can basicly just continue rolling that is what most of the trucks do to avoid unnecasary gear changes! :D
