if cameron can keep tua at arms length for a few rounds i reacon he'll get tire real quick and he'll finish him off pretty quick. tua hasnt done anything for quite a while

however if tua cuts cameron up early he could be in with a sniff

Honestly don't know, we haven't seen either of them fight in a while so it's a bit silly to try and call. If I were going to base it on history, David Tua would be the safe bet - he is more experienced with the "high end" boxers and has a ridiculous amount of power.

In his career he had what seemed to be "lazier" periods where he entered fights in not the best form, and still managed to knock people out. Other times he had clearly trained very seriously and in many cases it really showed.

People seem to have thought much less of him after his Lennox Lewis round, as though because he as outclassed (which he was) meant he wasn't a serious fighter. Keep it in perspective, Tua wasn't able to beat one of the best full stop but stayed for all rounds and made the man work hard - was obviously not ready for it but anyone who thinks he wouldn't have learnt from that experience may be a bit naive. This time Tua has clearly taken it very seriously and physically seems to be in damn near the best form of his career, and has a LOT of experience and a crapload of power on his side.

The last public bout he had was about 2 years ago, was an international bout and he knocked the guy out in good tidy form - so back then he obviously wasn't struggling.

Here is a clip of his last fight...

Toms - if Lennox Lewis couldn't finish Tua off, why do you think Shane Cameron can? ;)

yeah i agree with lith

as i was saying last night to a mate, tua has lost fights before, but has anyone ever knocked him out?

my out on a limb stab in the dark is:
tua goes all the way but cant land a good one on cameron, cameron wins on points.
or
cameron lets a couple through, and has a wee nap :P

please note I hardly take any notice of boxing normally

you have to remember Tua faught Lennox pretty much bang on 9 years ago, and since then he has barely made a splash, which isnt entirely his fault, with the whole management cockup. he is def at the end of his carreer.

whereas cameron probably hasnt faught as many/if any boxers of the same caliber that tua has, but he has faught some top 15 boxers reasonably recently and is still on the way up in his carreer.

i hope cameron wins, he wont knock tua out, it will go the distance, but as has bees said if tua gets a good shot in or cuts cameron its all over.

If it goes the full distance Cameron will win on points.

If it doesn't go the full distance, then Cameron will have been knocked out, either out cold, or TKO because he got busted open again and bleeding everywhere.

Hope it goes the distance, and not 2 rounds.

Did you watch that vid I posted of his last fight, it was an early knockout - but by no means him being outboxed until he got a hard hit in. He is a very very good boxer, 2 years ago isn't THAT long ago.

Not sure what that other guys ranking was, but lets be honest he had no show against tua, and in fct looked like a chump. some of those punches weren't aimed and even looked choreogrphed!

Haven't seen it since back then but I seem to remember the Tua v Rahman fight being more exciting.

Think its been hit on the head here though, Cameron has a chance if he out boxes tua and avoids a brawl, otherwise thats right in Tua's backyard.

Mrs won us silver tickets or something ($300 ea) so hopefully the night lasts more than a few rounds!

I really hope Tua wins, however I think Cameron will win on points.

Cameron, he has done well and been fighting alot more than Tua obviously but from what I have seen, his opponents were not that good. Not exactly against major contenders.

Tua, we all know he is capable of a punch that would bring down an elephant, and has been training like a mad man for months, however hasn't exactly been fighting much of late

Go David!
