I currently have F1's all round and I've been stoked with their performance. But I also hear a lot of good things about T1R's.
Just need to replace my fronts if that makes a difference.
Anyone run both? Opinions?

Out of interest what size? I have 2 that I may not need soon with 4 -5 mm of tread left. 225/40 R18.

I had T1Rs and they seemed to have decent grip but felt awful, felt like driving on marshmellows, also they made the steering really heavy, changed to dz101s and they're better in every way.

What profile marshmellows?
As for which tyre, i'd be trying out the Eagle replacement. Its not longer directional, but is supposed to be better so that's my plan.

Have run German F1s, Adrenalines and T1Rs. F1s were on a different car tho so cant really comment, but on the GT4 they were fine.
Had 215/40/17 RE001s, then 205/40/17 T1Rs on the Swift, and the T1Rs are better in every way. I found them to have more grip and less road noise.
If i was to buy new tyres tomorrow, id get T1Rs again in a heartbeat.

I have T1Rs in 225/50/R15 rear and 205/55/R15 front. When they are new they have alot of tread squirm and turn is delayed. But they do have good grip, wet and dry.
I think they are a good tyre for normal road use as they are comfortable, quiet and provide good grip.
Only downfall with these particular tyres (ie size and profile) is they don't have the turn in response of a stiffer side walled tyre. I'm not sure if lower profile T1Rs have stiffer side walls.
As they are on my daily I am happy with them for the driving I do.
I had some DZ101s rear and hard compound Falkens front and they responded well to steering input. Except the Falkens would make my SW20 understeer very easily especially in the wet.
I haven't used the other tyres so I can't comment.

Ive only had T1Rs on my mark 2 and i find them fine on the road, no noise and plenty of grip. Dont buy them if you plan on using them on the odd track day. I found that after maybe 5-6 laps of taupo, the rubber would get warm and just turn into marshmallow and would make it very interesting when braking into a corner

you might be lucky to get T1R's in that size at the moment, I tried to get a set this week but no joy.

I have put 235/45/17 Re001's on the front of my falcon, and a set of 18's on the front of a family members falcon, both cars had issues with previous tyres, particularly on turn in in the wet. No such issues with the new potenza's.

Mmm Tsoob didn't have any in stock until next week.
I've got some F1's going on tomorrow, and for my next car I'll give T1R's a try.

$180 fitted - same at T1r's.
A bit cheaper than what I paid 2 years ago.

Tyres and warrant sorted!
The tyre guy reckoned the T1R's were quieter and a bit more grippy than F1s, but they wear faster. His preference was the T1R.
He also mentioned the distributor for Goodyear had changed and they put their prices up, which is why he thought there has been a recent push for Toyo Tyres (higher margins).

Weird how the tyre guy prefered the tyres that needed replacing again sooner.....
