What's the worst kind of zombie, fast or slow?

Fast zombies are the ones from 28 days later etc, who are humans infected with a virus who scream like maniacs, can sprint full force, come diving through windows, dont intend on actually eating your flesh but have every intention on clawing your face off the first chance they get

slow zombies are the traditional ones from day of the dead etc. Just shamble along and moan, usually walk around in huge numbers, reanimated corpses and seek to eat flesh

Which do you feel are worse?
Consider long term as well since the fast ones are just infected humans and die out quicker.

I think the sprinters are worse. 28 days later was scary because of how crazy they were, all they had to do was sense you were around and the next second you've got a whole herd sprinting after you like usain bolt. If these guys attacked anyone who didn't exercise regularly would be killed in a day.

though slow zombies are still super creepy and probably have a greater long term psychological impact due to the moaning, and the constant thoughts of being eaten alive rather than just furiously attacked like the fast ones are much more disturbing

id rather have slow ones wanting to kill and eat me rather than fast ones that just want to kill me

youd have a greater chance of survival with slow ones as youd have time to attack them or run away

Slow zombies always seem to catch people in the end though

It's good to see this sort of public awareness coming up.

Do you have your zombie survival plan in place? Do your loved ones know that, while satisfying, shooting aunty betty in the face will not take her down if she goes feral?

We all have a public responsibility to ensure our families and friends can decapitate the mailman or meter reader he gets a bit bitey.

Refer to Gym Junkies thread, I don't train for my sport, my sport is training for surviving zombies.

Fast Zombies are definately tougher. When faced with slow zombies, one needs to be extremely selective when choosing one's posse, as it is always the complacency of one that leads to infection.

Fast are worst, they are smarter, faster and deadlier.
Slow ones are easily out paced and out thought.

Everyone should be working on ensuring they are fit, fast and well trained in martial arts to ensure their safety in times of zombie crisis!
Maintaining a high level of proficiency in Eishin Ryu should be considered compulsory for any responsible citizen.

Rule 1: Cardio: How many fat people do you see at the end of the world when its zombies doing the ending?

^^

Fast is worse, there would also be nothing worse than going for a run to keep fit and away from the fast ones, then you bump into a fast one and are already exhausted from a workout!

Guess in that case your emergency zombie pack should include a pair of running shoes

But wouldn't that make the zombies (slow or fast) more deadly as they themselves as humans trained for the zombie attack?

Slow zombies FTW.
At least you can keep away from them if you stay sharp and don't let your guard down.
DIY armoured 70 series Land Cruiser as initial get-away vehicle FTW!

Some good info (and crazy people) here:

If they retained their skills etc when infected then we would all be fuct anyway

Slow are better and my preferred zombie.

I remember a year or two ago I started a thread in offtopic about what your plan would be if the zombie invasion started now, right this minute exactly where you are now. Probably at work.

I had a cool plan but have moved buildings, at least I am only 7 floors up instead of 17.

Unfortunately Offtopic stuff is culled these days so I guess I won't be logging onto TS to refer to my plan when it inevitably happens.

lol, I remembered our discussions in said thread, searched but alas could not find it. Obviously someone with moderating powers should have had the forsight to sticky such scritical information.

Do you read the fire manual when there's a fire?
No, you should KNOW these things!

You don't log onto TS Offtopic to see if anyone else has had a fire before?

Zombies are not!
How ever now that I have a smartphone I can log in on the run! 8)
