i saw a thread like this so thought id ask opinions too

i painted my evo 'graphite grey' last year, ive currently got the motor out to respray the engine bay to match but...

i cant actually decide if i like the colour i painted it, i thinking of either repsraying the entire car blue the same as my trueno, or a simple lighter silver, or just leaving it 'graphite grey' and getting new wheels to suit?

this is the colour of my trueno:

opinions?

I'd leave it as is, it's a sweet colour. Why would you want matching cars? I don't think the wheels need to be changed either, looks mint. Wouldn't mind my BZG that colour!

find wheels to suit i would say. a shadow chromey type colour or a dark bronze (possibly) would really set it off. white is too much of a contrast. black wheels would make it look to 'GGEEE'd out' IMO though.

Another one here agreed on swapping the wheels. IMO both the bronzes and the gold's look good...

you summed up my thoguhts exactly, was thinking of getting enkei rpf1's or pf01's, but would mean i have to run 5 stud adapters because they dont make them in 4 stud....

i like those bronze 6 spokes :D are they TE37's?

quite a cool idea would be to run late model (evo 7/8ish) hubs and the brembo brakes they come with if you are wanting something different and cool? plus then you can run whatever wheels you want.

Do not paint.

Buy CCWs.

Win at everything forever.

Leave it as is. The colour it is looks staunch.
If you painted it that kind of blue, it'd look very "Look at meeee!!!!"

ive been thinking about upgrading the hubs on each corner to evo 6 items, using the brembo brakes and all

i cant remember but i know either the front or rears are pretty much direct bolt on swap, but they other end requres a bit of work. might look into it though

cheers for the opinions

i have a sneaky suspicion it is the rear that doesn't swap over. but since you will probably find it off a wrecked car, why not replace the whole subframe? then you get alloy suspension arms and could even chuck a trick diff in as well. i know the subframe bolts up as ive seen it before on a early shaped mirage (same shape as your evo)

Is it just me or do TE37's and Drifteks make anything look good?

+1 for bronze wheels

TE37s make things look good. Drifteks make things look cheap.
