Might as well make it public, its easy enough to gain access to for someone with a motive anyway.

Perhaps number plates should be removed prior to posting?

Further to that, if you are worried about your car, carefully vet the pics you put on line.
Imo if you are paranoid enough about it being see on here, you probably shouldn't be posting it on the internet

Nothing stopping potential theives from signing up and finding cars, so makes no difference wether its public or private.

Keep it private. There's no reason to make it any easier for any potential thieves.

Like Mr Revhead said, be careful about what pics you put up. But even then sometimes that won't help for those of us that have easily recognizable cars.

The number plate thing is no longer an issue, that was changed last year or thereabouts.
