Yeh ... was thinking the same thing :P

If its not forcing air into the system, then its not forced induction

unless it can magically make an alternator put out an awful lot of amps, sufficient to drive the worlds biggest fan.

There are many articles written out there saying that such devices are a complete scam, I just didn't want to bring it up while a Toyspeeder was trying to sell a car fitted with one of these things. Would be fairly uncool.

Weirdly enough, originally these devices were Snake oil, but no longer, companies have indeed developed electric superchargers that can provide anything from 1psi to 30+psi of boost.

Autospeed did a article recently on some of the ones that work, essentially they use batteries that are trickle charged over a period of time, but then can drive the supercharger for 15-20 seconds, Autospeeds biggest concern is no longer that these are scams, but there are now going to be people out there who buy them, and try to run them without sufficient engine management...

hey what who? where. ok im here
yus i had one of them in my car? umm, well basically what it is, a small mechanisim, acts like a small vacume, it kick on what ever you set the rev to, so if u set it to 2000rpm like what i had, then the mechanism will starm to suck in more at a higher rate. there are a few system like it but the powerup kit actually came wif a vacume motor kit, unlike the others.
um anymore help? and which dealer did u get the car from?

Haha funny-thats the one I was looking at buying. Very nice car. Actually I saw you a couple of weeks ago Sho along Cascade Rd-I passed you in my white Levin BZG. Honestly the power difference between Sho's car and mine is very different. It was a very nice car to drive... Thinking about a forced air induction system for my BZG

get a dyno sheet with and without this kit, immediately before and after so *all* variables other than the kit are unchanged.

I will stand with my verdict that they are utter BS until I see an independent party dyno sheet.
