AE86 trueno to levin

Postby B_giB » Fri Apr 16, 2004 6:53 pm

exactlly how hard would it be to convert an AE86 trueno to a levin???

one of my friends has a crashed 85 levin and i asked how much for the front, but he just said gimme an offer... so what would be a fair price?

you need the guards, the hood, the lights and supports, the grill and bumpers (dont know about irons), had a mate who was going to go from levin to trueno when he had a frontal because all he could find where trueno fronts, didn't end up doing it but they are exactly the same body and there is nothing keeping you from it.

depending on condition $200-400 for all the above bits, lights are quite hard to get, so are straight panels

the rad support panels etc are the same so if youv got both cars side by side just start swapping bits. but as mentioned above make sure the lights and the light mechanisims are all good

I've never been in a levin, does it have the same 'dail' switch so you will have something to make the lights pop up?

Might just be a wiring thing, but it could be something to think about.

yep all that shit and you'll find the levin headlights are supposed to have a wee mount on the inner side of them that your trueno will be missing, will be fine without it though, my levin doesnt have it (went trueno, then went back to levin)

my guess is that it would all swap over sweet if you have access to a whole levin,

guards, bonnet, grill bumper

i hate my pop up lights, but i like the look of a trueno better
