4AGTE + Powerlink; Injector question.

Postby MetalupYoAss » Thu Apr 01, 2004 6:20 pm

ive got a turbo red/blacktop (T25, HKS manifold) and for the extra fuel, ive purchased a powerlink injector controller, I dont really know squat about injectors but how many shall i use, whats a good size/impedance and where shall i mount them? on that note should I upgrade the fuel pressure regulator on the main fuel rail? will it make any difference? I currently have a 2TGEU fuel pump but it will probably be replaced with a MTEU unit (2.0L turbo).

cheers. sam

I got an injector from a rx7 (bat series) it's 750cc but i doubt u would need to get one thats 750cc, prob a injector from a skyline thats bout 500cc is all u need.

2 x R32 RB20DET injectors mounted just before throttle body.
They are 280cc each, high impedence(so no other resistance needed when using with your unit) Nice to tune with & you will prob end up using approx 2/3 of their capacity. Done on many 4age converts, work vry well.
(They have square plug and red in colour usually with bit black overspray)

precisely, if you think my setup is gay then try argue with garage dori's dyno graph's, Matt is getting 176KW at the wheels on a standard bluetop ecu and internals.

there are plenty of tricks you can do and lots of them work ok to a point.
2psi pressure switches are fine but the good thing about powerlink is that it can be set to boost pressure etc and is easy to tune any monkey can do it .
If you want then next step up from power link get TURBO link which controls 2extra inj and also has boost timing retard

and i am running bluetop ecu + link emx (one of the first links from 20bean ago)
