does the 4ws celica have 4 cv joints??

hey there
just wundering if any of u guys new if the 89 - 92 4ws celicas have 4 cv's. or is it just the 2 at the front?

also my front 2 are wasted is it best to fix them asap, can it dammage anything else if i leave it? plus what is a fair price to pay for 2 front cvs fitted.

any help appreciated

4ws means the car has a steering rack frount and back so it can crab into car parks and has a tighter turning circle but at high speeds it stops
4wd cars can have 8 cv joints inners and outers

yeah but mines not 4wd. i want to no what would be a fair price to pay for the cvs. and if i could be dammaging anything if i dont do something about it

wont damage anything uless its real bad i drove my fxgt till it was so bad a bearing colapsed and it started vibrating badly when i pulled it apart there were peices of bearing in the boot

if ya pay someone to do it probably $100 or something theres not alot of lobor but ya need a 24mm socket and a power bar or rattle gun

yeah mines rattles like a bitch when i turn a corner. i phoned a place and they said like $500 for parts and fittings. thats seems expensive coz another place said $300. thanx for your help

Yeah $300 fitted for a pair sounds fair, the joints would cost you approx $100 each. Yes, you do have 4 CVs but they are all at the front (inners and outers) as you have no driveshafts in the rear.
