levin springs
I would ring or go and see your local toyota dealer
and see how much a TRD spring kit is (you will be surprized how cheap$$)
if there is one that fits
they can ask how low they drop as well.
cheers

there's nothing wrong with kings, they're damn good springs. People who tell you to stay away are just idiots who know nothing, but want to sound like they know everything. Kings are as good as any. Consider also that they're the most popular spring used in professional racing (throughout NZ and aus anyway)

Lets be clear. Phatman wants to drop his car 40 - 50mm. TRD do not offer a road spring that will go that low. In fact their stated measurement is 20 - 30mm only. Not 35mm.
TRD do a large number of race springs which, when used with race shock absorbers, will lower the car considerably more. These will likely be too stiff for everyday street use. And, if used with the standard height shock absorbers, will not be held captive & therefore will not be warrantable.
For your car to remain 'streetable' you probably need a progressive rate spring to drop it this low.
Despite what's been written elsewhere on this forum, TRD do not produce a progressive rate spring in 'practice'.
Their products are made to perform specific tasks without compromise.
In case of springs they come in set lengths & rates matched to their range of shock absorbers which are designed for specific purposes.
As always, if you want the correct advice talk to the NZ TRD Agent. I'm always happy to share 30 years of experience with you & offer the very best deal.

mmm I like your speil.. makes you sound like a professional :p
I drive a AE-82 FXGT with a 4AG-ZE in it.. I currently have 'Super Low Kings' with 'Monroe GT GAS' shocks... I'm finding this setup not to be as good as I anticipated... basically, when my 110kg friend rides shotgun, the car, depending on the bump with bottom out rather badly, also, turning corners, i find that there is quite a bit of body roll..
What do you recommend a good setup so that I can eliminate as much body roll as possible?? I realise my car has a shorter wheelbase than say, a levin~ but I do think my current setup can be improved.. I dont want the car any lower (currently about 1-2cm's off the top of the tyre) I just want the car to be stiffer.. In my opinion, the stiffer the better (depending on the road, but you know what i'm saying)
Any info appreciated mate

Change your shocks dude i also own a AE-82 fxgt and it has king springs as well but the difference is i have koni shocks in the front and kybs in the rear tht will make the stiffer ride as konis are adjustable damper shocks
u could also get nolathane bushes let me knw if you would like these things i can get them for u![]()
Any info appreciated mate
Thankyou Helious, we try to be professional. As NZ's TRD Agent we certainly like to sell TRD product but we don't try to be something that we're not.
In order to improve on your present set-up we need to know exactly where it's at right now. I'm not familar with either the KIng Super Lows or the Monroe shocks you've got installed. And we don't know how high, or low, you are.
The agents for them should be able to give you the specs and suggest improvements. If they can't help with product but can advise your existing specs, we may be able to find something for you.
Regarding your body roll, you would likely benefit from a stiffer stabiliser bar. Your std one's probably a bit sad by now anyway.
TRD didn't make a stabiliser for street use for this model & they haven't made the race item for some years.
Whether Whiteline or anybody else make one for this model I'm unsure.

As a frequent Toyspeed visitor and now a new member I'm getting annoyed reading Revhead's constant bickering in other peoples threads.
I visited the Offical Japanese TRD website and it lists Toyota New Zealand and Sollitt Trading Company as official New Zealand distributors.
Nowhere does it say Baywater Toyota.
I understand having a Toyota dealership permits you to get TRD product however personally I would buy from someone who specialises in the product I want.
