Dissabling VSV means no more knock sensor?

Ok I've searched for a while and cant find an answer for my question.

I know that the ecu closes off the vsv valve when the knock sensor is activated....but since i have disabled my vsv this wont do jack schitt. Does the ecu do anything else if it still knocks?

knock sensor retards the timing, as it usually goes off when there is knocking in the engine so makes it run safer.
Or if it goes off it's broken like mine then when i'm driving the ecu realises and makes it run like poo poos.

Yip knock sensor retards timing, vsv is a vacume switching solenoid or something. Shouldnt have much to do with the knock sensor. They usually do stuff like sucking the fumes out of gas tank(charcol canister thingy) etc.

VSV is the factory boost controller on the 3sgte, under optimal conditions it will open and bleed off air giving you near 12psi of boost.

technically it is the T-VSV, the T designating that it is for the turbo, rather than the TVIS-VSV or as mentioned, associated with purging the charcoal canister.
But yeah, if things get bad the ecu can do a lot more than just closing the T-VSV to limit damage
