THis sorta mod isn't the sort of thing if ya hunting power straight up... it's more like a prelude to power mods... But it will help against heat soak during idling... And if ya intake is totally pants it will make a little power...

My opinion disclaimer: Just a guide... not always true... Vary's from car to car

Get a 3" pipe to replace the rubber one and fit a pod filter to the end of it. Then if you wanted it to breath cold air, build a box around it and duct cold air in to it via a flexible hose from the front bumper area. The power increase is quite minor the main thing you will notice with this mod is the induction noise.

yeah stealer is kinda right,

any aftermarket air filter will be better than oem, in fact any aftermarket part will be better than factory as factory fits with the most budget items possible,

so with regards to the cold air intake, nething will give u an increase in power, but after that,(especially on NA cars) it more becomes a question of WHERE you want the power, this is something taht om still trying to figure out now, i intend to tune mine for high end power, which probably means a straight as pipe, that just the right size, and i have removed my trumpets alltogether( though i should just replace with smaller ones) if you still want a bit more mid range tourqe, i suggest a direct replacement panel filter in the factory air box, and muck around with it a little to try get colder air to that intake behind the headlight, this will leave the factory resonator tank in your system, which will reduce induction noise but is tuned to give the 20v more tourque, thos if u were going to do this is probabaly wouldnt be a bad idea to replace the rubber hoses with a bigger metal pipe with flexi joints, just ensure it isnt bigger than the opening to the plenum chamber.

Disclaimer: to any of the "experts" who know otehrwise, dont flame me if i said nething wrong, this is what ive pieced together from listening to you

um thats statements a little too broad..... not all aftermarket parts are better than stock, infact theres probably more that are worse than stock!!

im talking generally here lol, like in most cases,

ummm vvt basicaaly has a little piston thing on the end of ur camshaft where the cam wheel is, and it fills it with oil to tip ur cams over so much, im not sure but i would think the only way to adjust it would be with a new computer, but i dont think u could make it travel any further/less further.

Our R&D department is presently working on a completely new induction system for AE111.
It should significantly improve the mid-range as well as the top end.

All going according to plan, dyno & road testing will be complete in early July with the product available soon after that.
