SW20 Axles

Postby Monsterbishi » Wed Jun 09, 2004 8:59 pm

Righty, I had a lucky moment today, and have been given the bracket I needed to mount up my E51 tranny in my AW11, now the problem is, I don't have the axles, just the stubs where the Japanese engine place gasaxed through them ;-(

So my question, is there any other axles that will fit on a AW11SC other than the near impossible to find genuine jobbies?

I'm thinking SW20 ones may be possible, the use the same CV system, but I don't know whether they'll be too long, etc?

aw11sc diff is the same as the gen1 (1989-1991) sw20 diff so the axles should be the same in theory ;) and no you cant have mine

Why not AL? That's not very nice of you. Didn't your parents teach you to share? :P
BTW, are they gonna be the right length? Check the rear track differences between the two.

The only thing that'd be a problem would be if they're too short, and considering how fat SW20's are, I don't think that's gonna happen <g>
