FWD tranny q's.

i was wondering..what MANUAL tranny does the tercel use with the 3A-LU engine? OR what manual trannys will fit a 3A-LU? im guessing a c-50 wouldnt?..pitty as i got two spares lol!

The early ones were the FWD with the north/south motor right?

Is that what yours is?

lol no it's in a mr2. It's RWD but the engine lies east/west. so it needs a FWD tranny. anyone know if a C50/C-52 would fit? the auto trans is to go, i have the stock conversion kit here minus the box

I thought you were refering to the Tercel which were north/south FWD's.

As far as I know the FWD boxes fit and work but the is differences in the shifters and cables as they are on the other side of the box.
SW20 manual box's are too hard to find are they?

hmmm. well thats why i want to know about the C-50 as the shifter linkages are already on the correct side.but its not major job swapping over the linkages to the other side on a FWD tranny. so do you know if a C-50 will bolt upto a 3A-LU?
