R32 calipers & rotor onto AE86/RA28

Postby turbora28 » Wed Jun 23, 2004 6:06 pm

Hello I have some R32 calipers and rotors that I want to fit to my RA28 Celica, I mention AE86 also as struts are interchangable and seems a lot more people have done upgrades on the AE86.

So yeah, any ideas how to get this all to fit?

Hubs, caliper brackets, etc?

Thanks
Joel

The calipers will be mint but the discs may not be so easy. Start by removing the factory backing plate, in an ideal world the new plate you make to mount the caliper will be flat. This all deppends on the offset of your disc hat. Remove the factory disc off the hub and figure out where the R32 disc will sit in relation to your imaginary flat plate if mounted on the hub. If it is too far out you may need to get a different disc. If you work out the total disc thickness(including the hat height) that you will need and head to your local repco or BNT store they will be able to sort you out a disc that will suit, or be pretty close. If you need pics I can E-mail a couple of different ones I have done.
Hope this is some help.
