hmmm new vvt pulley for the silvertop is $210
2 TRD cam pulleys $220.... am not going to guarantee they will fit the inlet cam though.... i think they do but not sure...

Just been round at got20v?'s, problem was a silly little ignition problem its now sorted (did kinda sound like bearing though, kinda) i wont embarass him by telling what it was.
And very noisy VVT pulley, cambelt looks good but all the other belts are pretty had it, hes gonna do the lot

Ok how bout a rattle everytime i hit about 5000rpm, kinda like when the VVT fully kicks in, just a rattle which tails off. its always done it, i assume a pulley or belt??

see! much easier if your there!

yeah those vvt pullys can sound rather bad, but they dont effect running. just makes it hard to sell the car!!

is that a brand new vvt pulley? like gaurenteed not to sound liek a tractor?

well, be about the same as doing a cam belt.. then taking a pulley off :lol:

hehe no problem, sometimes my sense of humour just begs to be shared :lol:
it was a very common problem on 2e engined cars. shouldnt be a major to fix, depends what parts are needed.
