, well start with brake pads, what application will you be using it for
i looked into this
unless your looking into racing it circuit hardcoreee, then the brake pads are the first things you need to replace
go to bnt, and enquire asbout 'mintex m1166', you give them your brake pads, they go and send it away to get it bonded with the mintex compound, then walaaa, you have yourself pads taht can withstand up to 750 degrees ..... if you want sojmething slightly softer better on your rotors (some rotors are not as thick as others) then get the lower mintex range more suited to your rotors,
then you can look into 0800racebrakes for upgrades on your brake lines to road legal braided steel lines...then if you want rotors. the mintex pads are cheaper at bnt, and they hae the same stuff, racebrakes sell thyem too but are slightly more expensive, but race brakes have a good range of reasonable rotors and as far as i know they are the only one so far i have found selling road legal and approved braided lines
Have you got the hots? for what's in the box with the dots? ..... 0800 30 40 50

I actually found bnt slightly more expensive for mintex 1166's when i did a ring around.

i would recommend going into racebrakes and having a chat with them as they will be able to advise you from an experts perspective.

I know in my own car the 1166's are excellent, and i've heard that some of the other grade mintex pads are not so good for street use as they don't work well when cold, but if you go in and see steve i think it is then he will be able to advise you and as trdmod said they might be able to get you some bigger rotors that will still have the same stud pattern for your mags

I would go for Mintex 1166 pads all round (they can bond to drum shoes) and a good mineral fluid (maybe Elf) to begin with and then if thats not up to it then look at some slotted rotors maybe.

Or if you think none of that will work start thinking about fabricating new caliper mounts etc. and going for a full custom set up with parts from another car with bigger rotors and calipers.

Braided hoses would be the last thing to do imo,

I run Mintex 1166s all round, brembo slotted front rotors (replaced the rear with new factory spec rotors) and elf fluid on my AE101 FX got it all from racebrakes too there great guys to deal with. The car stops damn well hopefully the upgrade can cope with the planned 3SGTE conversion!
