4AGZE - 4AGTE

Postby 4AGTE » Sun Jul 11, 2004 9:00 pm

If you were doing 4AGZE to a 4AGTE using the Generation 3 link coming out in October what turbo and manifolds would you use?
Also things that might be problems?

Just need the knowledge to get the most out of this conversion.
Wanting 200kw at the wheels if possible!
Motor is an AE101.

This question has proble been asked heaps so soz in advance for that.

Thanks

Indeed it has. Have a search on here for "4AGTE" and see what you get. Search the web for a bit too and ask some specific questions if there is something not clear.

As far as manifolds go, get an exhaust manifold made up which you should be able to get done all over the place and for an inlet manifold the 100kW redtops are the popular choice. Theres one for sale in the FS section on here with throttle body for $100 which would be about what you're after (assuming its not the TVIS one)

$100 is good price for the intake manifold, do well to find nontvis redtop one at that price.

As for turbos and manifolds it all comes down to what ya want out of ya car as this will drive the turbo choice. Popular ones are the T25, T28, T3/4 and TD04, TD05h etc or if got the $$ go ball bearing.

I've seen all these on 4AGTE setups and all work well but all give a very different car to drive. Once you sort what turbo ya want, then get manifold made to suit. Plenty of people making good quality ones for pretty cheap nowdays, try Action Dan on here, he does some pretty good ones.

200KW at the wheels should be doable without too much trouble.

I rekon save yourself 500$ and use a standard 4age exhaust manifold, chop it and weld on a plate they flow good enough as they are a n/a manifold mine cost me 80$ to make, i have a intake manifold if your interestd, is your engine an old or new model ze?
