what is this plug?

Hey just curious to know what the plug going into the thermostat housing is? (silver top)

I would of thought this would be the temp sender or something but the gauge worked sweet with it unplugged. :lol:

Kinda forgot to plug it back in for a couple of days after changing the thermostat :oops:

dont quote me oin this im probly rong but some of them have 2 plugs duno why someone correct me if im rong...

it could be for a temp sensor goin to the ecu or something along the likes of that (just a random guess, sounds rightish i think :oops: )

something to do with the cold start/run setup?...just another random guess

20v will have three plugs around there fan switch, water temp sender for gauge in dash and one for ecu to determine the engines temp
