I dont see any benifit of doing it to a road car, and if done properly i also don't see how it can effect the security of the car?

Anyway...

To do it and keep the car safe and simple do this.
Solder two wires onto the back of the ign sw.

One onto the wire that goes to the starter,
( check this with a test light and turning the key to start and find the wire that lights up on start )

The other onto the wire that lights up when the ignition is switched on,
not the battery supply as this means that the key will still need to be turned on for the car to be started,

Then get a decent starter button that can carry a decent amount of current and connect it to the other end of the two wires.
Then mount it where ever you want and you now have a starter button.
