Ram air filters

Has anyone out there got a ramair kit (www.ramair-filter.com)

if so are they any good? or are the k&n filters still the best?

not as good as k&n, in fact most ppl i know 'in the know' rate them as cheap things best left on cortinas

i was just looking at them last night. The one that goes on the cadilac looked alright, had its own scoop which went just below the number place which worked like a "pod scoop". they also sell thoes inducting pipes that you used for air conditioning ect.... didn't find a place to get em in nz though

havn't really seen much of that brand, stick with K&N, trust, Apexi, etc you will be fine

to be plane and honest there man the standard one will give you more power " man is this going to cause a argument "
we dyno a sw20 turbo mr2 with the standard filter and then with a pod filter " i cant remember the exat numbers but it was not very much the standard filter gave more power thro the rev range
i will try and find the dyno results

what type/brand of pod filter was that?... was it in cold air box fed from outside of the engine bay?

i think its coz the panel filter have more surface area than pod. but cold air intake would do it
correct me if im wrong tho

pods are fine but you need good air induction to them,
i found my car was 15% more responsive when i had a pod filter and no bonnet (dont ask) so as long as the pod has apropriate sheilding from heat you will gain decent amount of power.
