Does anyone know who makes Supercharger for 1MZ-FE engine ?!

I am looking for the supercharger for 1MZ-FE einge this is camry basically, I have found TRD supercharger for older 1mz-fe but not new one ie 2002~2004, I looked everywhere but without much luck, I start to question weather there is such thing at all. As my Estima is running this engine so that will be great if I have some performance upgrade etc.

TRD are the only ones ive heard of making them, but im not sure what year models that was for, is it not suitable for the newer model?

there is a s/c kit that was developed for the previous model v6 camry
it may be possible to fit it to your engine, however i would imagine some space problems in a previa... let me know if you wish to follow it up and ill talk to the toyota techies

If space problem, I am sure there is a will, there is a way... (sorry I am like that.. trying to push my way though..)

so I am basically trying to power up my Estima 2002~3 1MZ-FE, not sure this is going fit at all, sorry my knowledge in this area is somewhat limited

From the TRD site, with modified pully, you can get nearly 400 HP from that engine so REALLY REaLLY excited when I first saw it, but I was guttered when I notice it is build for old camery... so.. I don't know if there is any minor customisation that you can make if fit or not but.

this may be way off context... but in my secret love of previas.. i looked round a few sites.. they were available in Japan with the 3.0 V6 - pressumably the same one as the later model camry - coincedentaly the same one toyota nz did with the supercharger.

supercharged v6 ppl mover anyone

on a more serious note, could u adapt the one from the older 1mz-fe to fit ? or are the motors that much different?

to be honest with u guy's the supercharger apperars as tho it would even bolt onto a vz series v6 so i couldn't see why it couldn't be fitted to a previa. I know in the camry's they had to rearrange the brake fluid resovouir but thats about it

yep thats the plain, 400HP Estima with a 2.0 mm pully .. the dream anyway..

I thank you for your info, can't wait for this to happen, TRD Man send me a quote for $6500 for it but he is yet to check out the specs for it so I hope everything went well etc.

400 HP People Mover ... well when you got people to move, you better move fast etc..

plus this thing is about 2.2 tone + 8 people and say they 70kg each on average .. we will be moving about 2.7 Matrix Tone of weight, of course we need some power etc..

i'm only saying what i have seen as i have carefully looked at the supercharged camry in person (almost bought it) and my current camry (4vz-fe) and the manifolds mounting points and intake manifold flange look's identical. I would have to pull it apart to comfirm but need a mz series manifold to capare closer before i can be 100% sure.

The differnce between the super chargers is probably small variations of where sensors connect etc but shouldn't be to hard to adapt using parts from other models.

My knowledge in this area is somewhat limited, its great to hear from someone is experienced and have been up close and personal with the real stuff. Just realise you are Mechanic, its always good to learn from a pro, not just some kids who read something on the net and they think they can invent a new engine etc..

If this works, I heard you can build a switch to turn on and off the supercharger or something as one would not be going fast all the time. or a level switch like

also do one need some ECU upgrade for this as well ?! as one would need to adjust the air and oil mix or something etc..

would definatly pay to upgrade ecu. Thats probly the difference between the super charger kits. It's probably a slightly different kit with gives i a different part no.
Not a different charger.

The camry i looked at had no setup that would allow the charger to be switched on and off. just on all the time but hey, thats whats the throttles for isn't it?

I was looking for the ECU for 1MZ-Fe, do you know if the Apexi ECU is any good or you know other make and model ?!.

I think super changer switch is important as I won't be the only driver of the vehicle. This this be easily make or there are other makes of superchanger that has a control switch you know of ?!

the easiest way to bypass the supercharger on that setup would to make a bypass valve operated by a solenoid that you could switch on and off. I personally wouldn't bother however.

Any aftermarket ecu will do but FLAWLES knows of a piggyback one that retains factory drivability etc etc
