ae70 diff into ke35/4age

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Mon Aug 16, 2004 9:34 pm

just wondering how strong a diff out of an ae70 would be. would it handle a standard 4age (bluetop i think) without any problems?
and does anyone know how easily it will bolt into a ke35?

i dont recommend KE70/AE70 diffs. 4k's and 3a-u's are as much as they can handle, iff u like to drive 'em hard. Im always helping mates replace diffs, more than anything. But if u would, id probably reccomend a diff out of KE70 s/w, ive had most life from one of these. Im not exactly sure about a bolt on fit for KE35, but i have both a KE35 and KE70 in my back yard at the mo so ill check for u tomorrow.
i suggest if u doin a 4a-ge conversion, why not do a live axle conversion as well?
fuc wasting ure time replacing diffs al the time, just get something that will last. May be a bit ov extra work but will be worth it.

Yea if your going to the trouble of swaping to a ke70 diff save up some cash and get something decent. T series with TRD lsd would be sweet if the 4age is N/A but hard to find a t series sometimes. Also I dont know about this ke70 wagon diff being stronger my old wagon had a U-series diff same as the sedans. Its probly just luck that your wagon diff is in good nick and handles it.
