backfiring?

ok i dont kno nothing much bout cars except where the gas goes lol so i will tell u my story....

ohk i have had my car since february and every now and again when changing from 1st to 2nd prolly round 5 - 6 thsnd rpm it wil backfire and i just wondering y it does it?

what sort of rise u have bro. there are so many reasons for backfiring. If its old points ignition it could be faulty plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor, ignition timing, air-fuel ratio, (CO%)
vaccuum leaks. So theres a fair bit of variation. So wats ure ride dude?

its not just a *loud* pop at very high revs is it?

ive been assuming the valves cant close fast enough at 8,000rpm :) and a bit of spark leaves with the exhaust..
but meh, that was my asumption, my car does it only at 7,800rpm, not at 76, ONLY 78.... its weird :S

my cars a 97 bzr levin. um yea more like a loud pop i guess
