1994 Curren ST206 Manual

Postby Just_Juzz » Wed Aug 25, 2004 6:50 pm

I am looking for a manual on this. I have tried everywhere I can think of, and have come up with nothing. Anyone know where I can get my hands on 1?

Hi, if you're after a workshop manual I can't help you out, but if you mean the owner's handbook then this company sells them for $50:

As far a repair manuals go I dont think you'll find a haynes one... closest haynes one would be celica 1986 - 1999, but even then it is american (americans never got Currens) so it only covers early (1986 - 1989) 3s-ge and late (1990 - 1999) 5s-fe's... but i get by with it for my celica

If you do get an operating manual let me know... need to know the recommended gearbox fluid

Yeah... I wanted the Repair Manual. Does any of those celica manuals cover the 3s-fe?

maybe a camry or something with a gen III 3s-fe or similar would cover any engine work you wanted to do.... but any suspension, electrical and other work you wanted to do wouldnt be covered

I've been talking to my partners old man....

A mechanic of 19 years.

He has informed me that the suspension etc is the same as a 6th Generation Celica. And the engine is that of a 3rd Gen Corona.

Also found out the difference between a 3S-FE and a 3S-GE.... not much really.

The 3S-FE engine is also in the 6th gen celicas (93-99) but only in the Japanese import versions (NZ models had the 2.2L camry engine). The SSI has the 3S-FE, the SSII & SSIII has the 3S-GE and GTFOUR has the 3S-GTE.

The curren is basically the Celica Coupe for the Japanese market. In the US they actually have a celica coupe which looks just like the celica in the front, but has a boot instead of a hatch and different tail-lights. In Japan it is called the curren and has a different front and rear.
