std i/c on t3 4agze setup??????

Postby IH8TEC » Mon Aug 30, 2004 9:54 pm

ok heres my delemor, lol, i've looked on club4ag, and alot of the guys on there ae86's used a standard 4agze intercooler in a front mount position to start off with.

i'm wondering if anyone on here has done it and what did you think. would it be ok with the use of a t3 turbo, to use the standard i/c in a front mount position. i'm only gona be running 10-12/13psi boost. would it flow well enough for this setup, i mean it would save buying another intercooler.

any help would be great.
cheers

Its a pretty tiny cooler for a turbo that size, and for the hassle of front mounting it you might as well get a decent cooler and do it right first time. I've got a T3 to go on my 4AGZE with a VR4 cooler (perfect fit in there).

If I was you I wouldn't even be thinking about using the factory cooler

yeah, i just thought i'd ask, because they use them alot on there turbo ae86's with similar turbo, maybe a lil smaller. from what i can gather, would it jsut be better on those becuase of less piping or something.
